Sony Ericsson P990 AlternativeThe Sony Ericsson P990 is a major upgrade that includes an assorted set of features, which is why it will also cause a minor dent in your pocket. If you are looking for an affordable alternative, SE seems to have this unnamed phone (tentatively called Sony Ericsson P980 or P970 by the folks at the Unofficial Club Sony Ericsson) to be released sometime this year.

Previously it was speculated that this phone would not have a QWERTY phone, but looking at the prototype, they've neatly crammed the full keyboard onto the phone keys.

This device lacks 3G and Wi-Fi (both present on the P990) - which may explain why it looks so thin. Further details as soon as we get them.
