Sony Ericsson K510 Camera PhoneI like the new Sony Ericsson K510. It comes in two colors Midnight Black or Polished Purple. It looks elegant and sports a clean design. It's got a nice set of features too. The K510 is the smallest 1.3 megapixel phone from Sony Ericsson to date. It measures 101.5 x 44 x 17.5 mm and weighs all of 82 grams and should be a perfect fit in your pocket or purse.

The Sony Ericsson K510 is good at multimedia. The 1.3 megapixel camera supports 4x digital zoom and video recording. You can add effects such as sepia color, panoramic views, fun warp etc. If you've got the money, then buy the optional Phone Flash MXE-60 which eliminates red-eye and delivers great shots in the dark. There's a built-in media player software which can play MP3 and AAC encoded files. At 28MB, internal memory is somewhat limited.

Connectivity options are in plenty. You have Bluetooth, IrDA, USB, and WAP 2.0. There's support for push e-mail and the standard POP3/IMAP4 protocols. The included USB cable should make synchronizing with your PC a snap. Talk time is a decent 7 hours. All in all, it's a good phone for the mobile office. The Sony Ericsson K510 starts shipping globally during Q2 2006.

The Sony K510 will be available in three region specific varieties:

  • Sony K510i - Triple Band GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900MHz for Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific

  • Sony K510c - Triple Band GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900MHz for Mainland China
