Sony Ericsson K310 Camera Phone
Sony Ericsson has launched its latest camera phone, the Sony Ericsson K310. The K310 is being projected as a multimedia phone. For starters, the K310 has a VGA camera that is capable of providing 4x digital zoom. It has 15MB of onboard memory to store you pictures and videos. That's pretty insufficient by today's standards. There's a software which will allow you add imaging effects such as "face warp" before you transfer them to your mates over MMS or Infrared (do people still use this?). There's no support for Bluetooth.
Sony's fitted in a 65K Ultra Bright Color (UBC) display, a new screen technology that produces crisp and clear images. There's also a range of MP3 ringtones, 3D games, and a media player which can playback MP3 files. How much you can stuff into that 15MB is anybody's guess. The Sony Ericsson K310 is a Triple Band GPRS handset which will be commercially available in Misty Silver and Shadow Blue colors and will start shipping globally during Q2 2006.
The Sony K310 will be sold in three varieties as follows:
