Sony Ericsson Announces M-BUZZ Mobile-Based Digital Music Space

Sony Ericsson, in a bid to expand on its mobile music strategy, unveiled M-BUZZ, a promo space for new and upcoming artists. M-BUZZ aims to complement Sony Ericsson's music offering for the Walkman series of cell phones.

Consumers can access full tracks of featured artists, videos, biographies, gig schedules and more. Initially, M-BUZZ plans to introduce a limited number of artists and bands each month, thanks to the new partnership with Sony/ATV Music Publishing.

M-BUZZ is strongly seen as a way for upcoming artists to get the exposure they deserve, as well as a platform for reaching out to a wider audience. M-BUZZ will come bundled with the Sony Ericsson W850 and W950 Walkman phones that will hit European, Latin American and Asian markets in a few weeks.

The website, http://www.m-buzz.com/, will go live on October 2, featuring artists such as Kish Mauve, Embassy, Dirty Perfect, FKLV, Iggy, The Head Set, Bobby Kray, Anjulie, Lights and Monte*Rosa.
