Sony DSC-W50 Digital Camera
Sony has revamped its W-series of Cyber-shot digital cameras, and introduced the new Sony DSC-W50 in an all-new sleek, compact design. One of the first things you will notice is the eye-level viewfinder that is available with regular film cameras.
The Sony DSC-W50 offers 6-megipixel resolution, which is great for high-quality prints. It also comes with a now-standard 2.5" preview LCD. Images in low-light conditions are also improved now. The lens system is a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar type with 3x optical zoom.
With the Sony DSC-W50 you can also record MPEG1 videos. Available in a silver packaging and metal-alloy body. One of the better features of the camera is that whenever you select a particular shooting mode on the camera, it displays a text explanation of the mode on the LCD display - helping you get the best shot.
You get high light-sensitivity settings up to ISO 1000 - making it possible to shoot at higher shutter speeds to capture fast-moving objects. The battery life is above average, with Sony claiming 400 shots per single full charge. 32MB of memory is built-in to the cam.
Available early March, the Sony DSC-W50 carries a price tag of US $250. It can be purchased online at SonyStyle. Pre-order yours at http://www.sony.com/w50.
