sony-T50.jpgThe Sony Cyber-shot(R) DSC-T50 whose details were “accidentally” leaked on the World Wide Web has now been officially released by the company. This new digital camera carries on the Sony tradition of sleek ergonomics and nifty features.

The new Sony DSC-T50 is available in colors like Red, Silver and Black and is equipped with a seven mega pixels image sensor. Offering utmost functionality, this one will also appeal to all the fashionistas and the trend setters. However it’s just not a pretty package and apart from a 7 MP resolution, is also outfitted with a bright 3 inch touch-screen display with Sony's Clear Photo Plus LCD technology for higher resolution (230K).Its good to know that Sony is taking care when it comes to the LCD which many companies tend to ignore!

The DSC-T50 features a Carl Zeiss(R) Vario Tessar(R) 3x optical zoom lens; however it is the almost negligible shutter lag which is seen as a highlight. The Sony Cyber-shot(R) DSC-T50 has a shutter lag of just few milliseconds and the onboard Real Imaging Processor(R) circuitry further ensures extra quick performance and prolongs the battery life.

Who doesn’t like a Touch Screen Interface and the fact that its present on the digicam will surely attract a number of buyers. This one promises to be as intuitive as ever and one can also opt for the optional “the paint pen” which lets you write or illustrate on the image itself. With sensitivity mode of up to ISO 1000 one can take fast paced images and even click without worries in low light. It has an internal memory of 56MB and one can also view slideshows with music on the LCD and capture movies with ease. The new Sony DSC-T50 will be available from October and would retail for $500.
