Sony DSC-S600 Digital Camera
Apparently aimed to please both amateurs and pros alike, Sony unveiled its new Sony DSC-S600 digital camera at the 2006 CES. The S600 comes in an all-new design and presents an easy-to-use interface.
Featuring a 6.0 megapixel (effective) Sony Super HAD CCD, the Sony S600 comes with a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens with 3x optical zoom. While the preview LCD is just 2.0", this was possibly intentional - to save on battery life.
For low-light conditions, the camera has a high sensivity anti-blur technology. If you have shaky hands, no more worries. You can also capture images when you are on the move, for example sitting in the backseat of a car.
Thanks to improved Clear RAW NR algorithm ensures that images shot without a flash in low light improves the signal to noise ratio. With two 2500mAh Ni-MH batteries, you can get as many as 460 shots. The camera also sports seven pre-set Scene Selection Modes, as well as manual mode for better control.
The Sony Cybershot S600 digital camera will be available mid-January 2006 for around $200.00. Pre-orders begin today at www.sony.com/S600
