Sony DCR-DVD205 CamcorderCES 2006 saw many Sony's products, including a new line-up of camcorders. One of the affordable ones is the new Sony DCR-DVD205 camcorder.

The DCR-DVD205 allows you to record video directly onto -R/-RW/+RW DVD media. Armed with a one megapixel Advanced HAD CCD, Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar® lens, you get all the goodness that you expect out of Sony. The bright and large 2.7" 16:9 touch-screen is just what the doctor ordered for convenient shooting of videos. It being a SwivelScreen, the DCR-DVD205 presents a lot of other cool features.

You can also take 1-megapixel digital still images in 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios with this handycam and write them to the DVD media.

Slated for a February 2006 release, expect it to cost around $600. For more info, head to Sony's website.
