SEGA and Verizon Wireless today announced that Sonic The Hedgehog will soon be available on select Get It Now-enabled phones from Verizon. Sonic, who is also the mascot of Sega, is one of the most recognized video game characters, right up there with Mario.

Verizon Wireless is the first carrier in North America to offer its subscribers Sonic, world-famous for the speeds and snappy jumps. You can get the game from the getGAMES shopping aisle on Get It Now virtual store for $3.49 (monthly access) or $7.99 for unlimited use purchase.
