Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG MACRO HSM Lens
The folks at Sigma has just recently launched a fast zoom lens which has been exclusively designed keeping in mind DSLRs and there needs. The new Sigma APO 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG MACRO HSM lens by Sigma is a large aperture telephoto lens which includes Sigma’s trademark multi layer lens coating for eliminating flares and ghosting. The new lens looks quite impressive as it has a minimum focusing distance of 100cm (39.4â€) and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:3.5.
The Sigma APO 70-200 mm lens has been constructed with the finest of materials out there and Sigma has also incorporated ELD (Extraordinary Low Dispersion) glasses and SLD(Special Low Dispersion) glasses which correct chromatic aberrations for top notch quality. The lens doesn’t disappoint when in comes to close up photography and users do not have to indulge in other macro gear like close up lenses. Not only does the new lens reduce flare and other photography nightmares it also maintains a color balance throughout the zoom range.
The latest offering by Sigma like all the HSM models are capable of delivering super quite high-speed auto focusing and full-time manual focusing. The on board focusing and inner zooming systems makes life much simpler and fruitful for the photographer. While zooming and focusing ,the lens length doesn’t change and the incorporated focusing system doesn’t require front lens rotation thus promising utmost convenience. The lens includes a removable tripod collar (TS-21) and with a 1.4x EX DG APO or 2x EX DG APO Tele Converter it transforms into a 8-280mm F4 AF telephoto zoom lens or a 140-400mm F5.6 AF telephoto zoom lens.
