siemensgigasetcordlessphone.jpgSiemens, today announced the Gigaset SL74X, at CeBIT 2006 held at Hannover, Germany. It is a version of the company's Gigaset SL74 cameraphone/MMS cordless handset (pictured), which will include AES-CBC 128-bit encryption for voice calls. This one is basically designed to government officials and others who might be concerned about security of the encrypted calls. The reception of the phone is so good that you can even go outside or even the street for that matter and still make a call.

Well what differs Gigaset from the other Cord-Based Encryption phones is that it can't be bugged, so basically Government officials, business executives can talk freely now without getting concerned about bugs. The phone comes with an incorporation of digital signal processor with the latest encryption standards: AES-CBC 128-bit with SHA 256, and Diffie-Hellman 3072-bit Public Key. The combination of synchronous and asynchronous encryption and secure hash algorithms normally used only by banks and government authorities, ensures maximum security.

The Siemens SL74X cordless phone will be available in the third quarter of 2006. A single phone will cost $2,084 and two phones, required to make encrypted cordless calls, will be available for less than $3,600. Check here www.seimens.com for more details.
