A Gigaset for all seasons: The Gigaset E450 and the Gigaset E455 (with integrated answering machine) are modern, functional cordless phones that are particularly robust. Because it has an integrated handsfree speech facility in full duplex quality with adjustable volume control, you can have both your hands free while using the cordless phone. Moreover, the handsfree function can be used as a baby phone or for room monitoring. Then the Gigaset E450 or Gigaset E455 will transmit noticeable noises either to a second handset or will automatically dial a preprogrammed external number.

The illuminated, 6-line color display (128 x 128 pixels, 4,096 colors) ensure you always have a full overview, even when writing or reading an SMS with up to 640 characters. There is space for up to 150 names and phone numbers in the Gigaset E450 and Gigaset E455’s telephone directories. By allocating different ringer melodies (VIP call) to the contact numbers stored in the phone directory, the caller on the other end of the phone can be immediately distinguished – even without picking up the handset. Apart from ten standard melodies, five polyphonic ringer tones are also available.

A digital answering machine integrated into the Gigaset E455 has up to 35 minutes’ recording time to record voice messages. It can be operated conveniently via the cordless phone handset or can be accessed remotely using non speaker-dependent voice commands. Those who always want to be informed about new messages on their answering machine while they are out can have an SMS sent to their mobile phones.

The Gigaset E450 and the Gigaset E455 will be available for about 100 euro in retail outlets from fall 2005 in “Midnight Blue”. Gigaset E45 handsets will also be on sale.
