Siemens AF51 Cell Phone
BenQ's newly announced line-up of cell phones in the A-Series includes the Siemens AF51, a stylish clamshell phone for entry-level consumers. Claiming functionality over frills, the AF51 is a compact phone offering value for money.
Both external (96 x 64 pixels) and internal (130 x 130 pixels) displays are capable of 65k colors, although it is a step backward to make anything less than 262k colors. But then, if you have to make a phone affordable... The keypad is highly ergonomic, and offers a 4-way navigation key and two soft keys. Don't expect an MP3 player, the AF51 isn't that advanced.
While not a 3G phone, it does feature GPRS capability, as well as MMS. You can also play Java games thanks to J2ME support. A useful set of apps like Calculator, Calendar, Birthday Reminder, etc., are included.
Slated for a Q1 2006 release, more info about the Siemens AF51 cell phone is available from BenQ's website).
