shure-e500pth.jpgShure has released a high-performance earphone, the E500PTH Sound isolating Earphones which utilize three miniature speakers that includes one tweeter and two woofers in an in-ear package. The E500PTH ships with a PTH control which lets listeners alternate between complete immersion in their music or audio activity and a connection with outside ambient sounds. The sound isolating earphones block up to 90 percents of outside noise. It also provides a small, medium and large ultra-soft ear plugs as well as one universal-fit pair of Foam and Triple Flange Sleeves. The cord is only 1.57m long which I think is quite short. It weighs 28 grams with a 3.5 mm gold-plated stereo plug. The Shure E500PTH also offers two cables, a 1/4inch to 1/8inch adaptor for home stereo, a volume control for airplane use, and a zipper carrying case. It is priced at USD499 which carries two-year limited warranty.
