shake.jpgMac users have another reason to smile, not do they have any reason to be unhappy like us poor Windows users! Anyways Apple has released a new universal version of the software application called Shake which will not leave a heavy dent on ones pocket as prices range from £1,999 (inc VAT) to £329 (inc VAT) according to needs. The Shake 4.1 complements the Final Cut Studio to the T and users can indulge in to cutting edge functions like D compositing, keying, image tracking and stabilization without emptying their pockets.

The Shake 4.1 promises to be the perfect solution for all graphical needs no matter how daunting the task. Be it 3D multi-plane compositing, 32-bit Keylight ,Primatte keying, Optical Flow image processing or image tracking, the programs handles it with a breeze. Using the same platform as Final Cut , the application is able uses high performing optical flow image analysis to re-time, track and stabilize shots with accuracy. One can also make their images more animated by adding elements such as smoke, sparkles and fire to sophisticated multi-plane 3D composites.

This plug in by Apple has been specifically designed to work seamlessly with Intel-based Macs. According to Apple’s tests ,it has been proven that tasks such as color correction, warping and the application of filters are processed up to 3.5 times faster on a MacBook Pro than on a PowerBook G4. If you still doubt the credentials of Shake ,then the fact that it been used in movies like ‘Mission Impossible 3’, ‘Poseidon’ and the upcoming ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest ought to convince you.
