Seagate Barracuda 7200.10Seagate unveild a mammoth 750GB external hard drive for notebooks (and desktops) today, built on the Barracuda 7200.10 series. The hard drive, a Pushbutton Backup Hard Drive, is the world's first to offer nearly three-quarters of a terabyte of storage. This 3.5" external drive uses Seagate's perpendicular recording technology - with a data density of 188GB per disc.

With the ability to store 15,000 digital songs, 15,000 digital photos, 50 hours of home videos and 25 DVDs - all on one disk - you still have 300GB left over for taking a backup of your notebook regularly. About the size of a tape dispenser, the 750GB Pushbutton Backup Hard Drive comes in a stylish design.

Bundled with backup software that is easy to configure and use, this Pushbutton Backup Hard Drive supports both USB 2.0 and Firewire interfaces. A sturdy, non-slip stand is provided with the drive, and you can also stack drives on top of one another.

Slated for release in May, the 750GB Pushbutton Backup Hard Drive carries a price tag of US $559. Seagate
