scanR: Convert Photos of Whiteboards Into PDFsHere's a darn useful service for those addicted to the whiteboard. How many times have you photographed your notes from a book or whiteboard so that you can capture and retain the data there? If you have done it, you would also know the associated problems like loss of clarity.

Whether you use a digital camera or your cell phone's camera, scanR now allows you to clean up those images and even create PDF versions of your whiteboard adventures. Oh, and it automatically tags the keywords as well.

Using advanced image processing technology, scanR eliminates low lighting, shadows, blurring and even skewed orientation. This means you get a digitized version of your notes. The auto-tagging facility is mighty useful when you want to search for your document using Google Desktop.

The beauty of the service is that scanR allows you to email copies of your notes or send faxes without having to go out. One thing you need to keep in mind is that the images must be taken with at least a 1 megapixel camera, phone or otherwise.

At the moment, scanR is offering a free unlimited trial but premium paid services will soon creep in. For details, head to scanR's website.
