Sanyo a renowned name in digital and optical products have just unveiled their latest offering, a new digital camera named Sanyo VPC-E60 EX. The Xacti E60 EX is identical to its predecessor VPC-E6 in the looks department; however the Xacti E60 EX has some additional features which were missing in VPC-E6. Some of those features being, a smaller body, image stabilization, internal red-eye processing and 32 MB vs. 16 MB internal memory. Thus making it an over all attractive buy.

The Sanyo VPC-E60 EX a 6 mega pixel CCD Digital type camera has both recording and playback support. It has a big bright 3 inch LCD which is a relief from the miniscule LCD's seen on many digicams. The Sanyo VPC-E60 EX has an effective built in flash which has a working range of 0,10 to 2,4 m (wide), 0,50 to 2,0 m (Tele) and features modes like auto Flash, Forced Flash, Flash off, red-eye reduction. The self time is a great addition to and the whole family can be included in the frame as it has the capability of setting a delay of 10 seconds or 20 seconds.

The Sanyo VPC-E60 EX has a 3x optical zoom lens and supports video formats like Quick Time Movie, Audio: wave (monaural), and the different recording modes includes: 40 x 480 pixels (video clips), 320 x 240 pixels (video clips only), 160 x 120 pixels (video clips only), 3.680 x 2.760 pixels (still images only), 2.816 x 2.112 pixels (still images, sequential shots) and Video Clip Frame Rate is 30 frames per second, 15 frames per second. There is a built in microphone too and the memory can be expanded via a SD Card. The Sanyo E60 has a MSRP of €349 and will be available around March 2006.
