Another new GPS Device to bless us with its presence at the CES 2007 is the SANYO Easy Street NVM-4050 which promises both affordability and functionality. The NVM-4050 is ideal for first time users too and care has been taken by Sanyo to make the device as straightforward as possible.
The SANYO Easy Street NVM-4050 is equipped with a easily viewable 4-inch LCD touch screen display and the critically acclaim SiRF Star III GPS Module for faster re-acquisition of lost signal. Users can view maps in both 2D and 3D and the device is also capable of instantly re-routing on missing a turn.
The Sanyo NVM-4050 utilizes the popular text-to-speech technology which calls out street names as turns approach and the on board 2GB of internal NAND flash memory contains map data for the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico and also about 1.7 million points of interest. Those looking for some fun would be happy to know that the GPS Device supports MP3 (with ID3 tag) / WMA sound files which can be stored on an optional SD Card.
The SANYO Easy Street NVM-4050 will be available in the U.S. in April 2007 at an MSRP of $499.99 and comes bundled with AC and DC Power Adapters, Car Mounting Kit, USB Cable and Quick Start Guide.
