PCsintel.com is reporting that specs of the upcoming Sanyo 6600 handset have just been announced. According to them this handset will only be availble on Sprint and is targeted at those consumers who want a mid range phone with Bluetooth connectivity and some other standard cell phone features.

The soon to be released Sanyo 6600 has no bells and whistles attached to it and is a basic phone which includes connectivity options like Bluetooth. It takes to the Sanyo PM-8200 for inspiration when it comes to design and hardware set. While the Bluetooth option will no doubt go well with users, they will also dig the NetFront 3.1 browser. The Sanyo 6600 is one of the thinnest phones ever released by Sanyo for Sprint and the first to also have a Li-Polymer battery. The phone would include CMOS camera however a lack of video support makes me wonder what they were thinking. The Phone features a QVGA Display , supports J2ME MIDP 2.0, but lacks a Sprint MI-UI user interface. As of now very few details are present but you can check out the website which Sanyo has put up for marketing the phone. What’s in there? Nothing really except Sanyo showing of their love for red and black graphics!
