Sprint Sanyo M1 Approved For USA

1962_289x275.jpgThe latest to be on the FCC table of approval is the Sanyo M1, a new clamshell from Sanyo that is rumored to be available via Sprint. As you can see, I don’t have a picture of this quality phone yet. (That’s right, the Sanyo M1 doesn’t really look like that. I am assuming that those are the blueprints, or whatever.)

The Sanyo M1 should be EV-DO high speed data, an internal antenna, plus Bluetooth. As you can see from the front, it looks like it comes packed with some external speakers. It looks like this thing is made for playing the MP3s, and it also looks like there is plans for a 2 Megapixel camera (with flash, even). Rumor has it that this guy has 1 GB of internal memory, but I cans see if there is a memory slot on the side. But this is because I can’t see the side. It probably has the expanded memory slot, though. Doesn’t every phone these days?

    Sanyo 8400 Review - Mini

Sanyo8400.jpgSome lucky fellow from the Sprint Users Forum, got his hands on the yet to be released Sprint Sanyo 8400 and played around it with a bit to give his opinion. His first impressions review highlighted the handset’s resemblance with the mini-9000 and he gave it full marks on its look which was ‘cool’ according to him.

The Sanyo 8400 is Bluetooth enabled and also sports an 1.3 Megapixel camera. The reviewer liked the overall performance of the handset but didn’t like the fact that it had no blue keypad lights. However the loud speaker and the Micro SD/Transflash for external memory is a welcomed addition. He also says that “it's nice replacement for the 7500/9000 now with Bluetooth” and was “pretty impressed” by it.

So looks like that the Sanyo 8400 may just take off and may make its debut sooner than expected.

Sanyo SCP-6600 (Katana) Cell Phone Review

    sanyo-katana.jpg
Get this Phone Now for the
    Best Price on the Internet!

The website Mobiledia did a review of the ultra-thin Sanyo Katana and like the phone for its ultra slim ergonomics, its rich multimedia features including two cameras and Bluetooth capabilities. However the phone may have two cameras but both of them are VGA. The audio capabilities of the handset are also not very impressive.

The Sanyo Katana is a highly elegant and slim handset which has shades of the Motorola razr when it comes to form factor. The phone sports a 1.3 x 1.8-inch main color display with 65K colors and also includes two VGA cameras, Handsfree operation with the built-in speakerphone or 2.5 mm Universal Jack Adapter, Global Positioning System (GPS) chip and Bluetooth capabilities.

The review ends by saying “Sanyo has a reputation for excellent reception, and the Katana is no different. Providing dual-band analog and digital frequencies, calls come in loud and clear provided the internal
antenna built into the lower lip is unobstructed. The application set is fundamental at best, but BREW
allows users to add and remove mobile applications, and the integration of various email and chat
applications ensures consumers will never be far from sending a greeting. For consumers looking for
multimedia on the go, the Samsung A900 may be a better option. However for consumers who want an aesthetically appealing device but don't need all the extras (and extra fees), the Sanyo Katana is
an affordable alternative with the looks of a much more expensive device”.

    Sanyo W33SA Rotating Clamshell Phone

Sanyo-W33SA-781064.jpgKDDi au receives a new clamshell phone, the Sanyo W33SA which is able to swivel its screen 180-degrees and fold down. W33SA boasts a 2.4-inch QVGA TFT LCD with 262K colors, 1.3 megapixel camera, FM radio, TV capability and 50MB of internal memory which is expandable by miniSD memory card slot. Should I say this is one of the smartest phones around? It will automatically switch off your TV if your battery is running low. It will make sure you still got enough battery level to make and receive phone calls. You can directly connect the phone to a printer via the USB connection which uses the PictBridge software to print out the images. Upon fully charged battery, you can watch your favorite TV shows on the phone for 2 hours and 45 minutes. Sanyo W33SA weighs 150 grams with the size of 50 x 105 x 277 mm. It is expected to hit the market soon with the price of 24,000Yen which is about USD210.

Sanyo 6600 Cell Phone Specs Out

    Sanyo 6600.jpg
Get this Phone Now for the
    Best Price on the Internet!

PCsintel.com is reporting that specs of the upcoming Sanyo 6600 handset have just been announced. According to them this handset will only be availble on Sprint and is targeted at those consumers who want a mid range phone with Bluetooth connectivity and some other standard cell phone features.

The soon to be released Sanyo 6600 has no bells and whistles attached to it and is a basic phone which includes connectivity options like Bluetooth. It takes to the Sanyo PM-8200 for inspiration when it comes to design and hardware set. While the Bluetooth option will no doubt go well with users, they will also dig the NetFront 3.1 browser. The Sanyo 6600 is one of the thinnest phones ever released by Sanyo for Sprint and the first to also have a Li-Polymer battery. The phone would include CMOS camera however a lack of video support makes me wonder what they were thinking. The Phone features a QVGA Display , supports J2ME MIDP 2.0, but lacks a Sprint MI-UI user interface. As of now very few details are present but you can check out the website which Sanyo has put up for marketing the phone. What’s in there? Nothing really except Sanyo showing of their love for red and black graphics!
