SanDisk Sansa e270 MP3 PlayerSanDisk presented its new Sansa e270 portable MP3 player, with a big color screen and 6GB of storage, at the 2006 CES (where else?). Claiming a friendly price tag and high strength design, the e270 looks nice if nothing else.

Made of titanium alloy, expect it to survive drops as well as prove resistant to normal wear-and-tear or scratches. Measuring in at 1.7" (W) x 3.5" (H) x 0.5" (D), the player is compact and offers a neat looking set of keys on the front panel.

The 1.8" TFT color screen allows you to watch videos, but is better suited to navigate the cool icon-based menu system. You can also view photos stored on the device. With the PlaysForSure mark, users can listen to legally downloaded songs from online services.

Other featurse include:
  • Slideshow capability for your images
  • FM tuner, with the ability to record the audio
  • microSD slot for expanding on the generous 6GB
  • Universal accessory connector
  • Compatible TrustedFlash and gruvi with mobile phones

Priced at US $299.99, the SanDisk e270 is slated for a March 2006 release across the USA and Europe. More info from SanDisk's website.
