These include the 8 GBCompactFlash, 2GB SD and 2GB Memory Stick PRO Duo digital film cards. The SanDisk Extreme III cards are the fastest in many DSRLS and have minimum write and read speeds of 20 megabytes per second. While the Memory Stick PRO Duo cards have minimum write and read speeds of 18 MB/sec.

These cards are targeted at high end users who feed on advance digital technology and need to take and store high resolution images at a greater pace. These cards are the highest performance cards one get in Compact Flash, Memory Stick PRO Duo and SD card formats All of them use ESP (Enhanced Super-Parallel Processing) technology that that combines NAND flash memory chips and controller designs, 32-bit RISC processing and leading edge algorithms. Also all these cards are designed keeping in mind the latest digital cameras by leading manufacturers.

The cards also incorporates RescuePRO(R) software which recovers deleted images and can withstand temperature conditions from minus 13F (minus 25C) to 185F (plus 85C).The Extreme III CF with capacity ranging from 1 - 4GB will be priced $99.99 - $279.99 and is available now.While the 8GB card is priced at $559.99 and will be available in March. Extreme III Memory Stick 4GB will be priced at $419.99 and will be available in march while the Extreme III SD priced at $199.99 will also hit the market in march.
