Samsung at CeBIT 2006 held at Hannover, Germany, has announced a new camcorder called the Samsung VP-X210l, it's a ICES Innovation Award Honoree. At the very first glance I thought it was some kind of a music player!! It is that slim. The camcorder is mainly targetted at the outdoor enthusiast, as it has a rubber coiled rugged body. Also it has hands free technology with which you can use from up to 3m away. The camera has 1GB built in memory and storage can be further enhanced as there is an SDA-1MC memory slot for additional storage capacity.

On the functionality side, the camcorder boasts a 2 Megapixel Camera with auto focus and has a whopping 10x optical zoom and is capable of 100x digital zoom. The longer battery-life is the one thing that the users will enjoy, especially for those who have a fetish for the outdoors. With the Samsung VP-X210L, users can enjoy the luxury of a high speed data rate of 1.8 Mbps and not to mention the high-speed wireless internet access. It features a 262K colour TFT (2 3", 240x320) display. In addition there is a Music player with external touch sensitive button.
