samsung-q40.jpgSamsung is all set to go 3G with their notebook and UMPC. Samsung has ordered Option GTM351E embedded wireless module for inclusion in both their new Notebook Q40 and a newly updated UMPC. Both the devices, the Q40 notebook and the recently updated UMPC will be showcased at the IFA 2006, a consumer electronics fair in Berlin( from Sep 1 - 6th). Option unveiled the GTM351E wireless module in December 2005. It incorporates HSDPA 1.8 Mbps, UMTS WCDMA in the 2100 MHz band and EDGE/GPRS in four bands (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), thus delivering broadband wireless Internet connectivity to mobile devices across mobile networks worldwide. No details from Samsung about the pricing and availability as yet.
