Samsung unveils 3G notebook and ULtra Mobile PC
Samsung is all set to go 3G with their notebook and UMPC. Samsung has ordered Option GTM351E embedded wireless module for inclusion in both their new Notebook Q40 and a newly updated UMPC. Both the devices, the Q40 notebook and the recently updated UMPC will be showcased at the IFA 2006, a consumer electronics fair in Berlin( from Sep 1 - 6th). Option unveiled the GTM351E wireless module in December 2005. It incorporates HSDPA 1.8 Mbps, UMTS WCDMA in the 2100 MHz band and EDGE/GPRS in four bands (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), thus delivering broadband wireless Internet connectivity to mobile devices across mobile networks worldwide. No details from Samsung about the pricing and availability as yet.
