One of the models announced by Samsung today at the CTIA Wireless 2006 trade show in LasVegas is the Samsung T509, an Ultra-slim bar phone, measuring not more than 9.8 mm in thickness, even thinner than the Motorola RAZR and SLVR. With the t509, Samung becomes the only mobile phone company with three distinct slim phone designs, clamshell, slider and bar.

The Samsung T509 is again a tri-band (850/1800/1900 MHz) phone with GPRS capablities. The T509 boasts of a large, vivid 262K-color screens, ideal for watching streaming videos or viewing images taken with the phones' integrated camera. The Camera included is a VGA camera with zoom and dedicated one touch video capture and playback. On the connectivity side, T509 feature high-speed EDGE connectivity, through which consumers can browse and download data files at faster speeds than most phones in its class. Also included is Bluetooth wireless technology to support delivery of entertainment and information on-demand services.
