Samsung SYNC for Cingular

Samsung's new phone, the Samsung SGH-A707 will be offered to Cingular customers in the USA and will be known as Cingular SYNC. This HSDPA phone will take advantage of Cingular's new HSDPA network allowing customers to experience broadband-like speeds on their cell phones.

Featuring a dedicated Cingular Music key, you can access the online music shop right from the comfort of your handset. Thanks to fast speeds, you can also use the phone for video conferencing. A standard MP3 player is available on the SYNC, apart from a 2 megapixel camera with flash.

Being a quad-band GSM phone, it is truly a world phone thanks to its support for GPRS/EDGE/UMTS networks. A microSD slot is provided for memory expansion. On the phone, you will also find IM clients for Yahoo!, MSN and AOL networks. We had a sneak peek at the Samsung SYNC last week - when it was still known as the Samsung SGH-A707.

The Cingular SYNC has a big 2.2" QVGA 262k color display. Priced at US $49.99 (after rebates), the phone is now available.
