Samsung SGH-X700 Cell PhoneSamsung's new offering, the SGH-X700 cell phone, has got the FCC approval which means it can be sold in the US as soon as it's released. The phone includes an FM radio and MP3 player as well.

The SGH-X700 is a lightweight, tri-band phone supporting GPRS/EDGE functionality. An obligatory 1.3 megapixel camera is also present. A 176 x 220 pixel 262k color TFT screen greets the user, and the included Li-ion battery claims to give five hours of talk-time (you have to be happy with the 220-hour stand-by time).

Thanks to Samsung for including Bluetooth supporting headset, handsfree, FTP and Object Push profiles (of course, it's too early to tell which of these will actually make it to the phone). With MIDP 2.0 support, you can play the latest 3D games as well. While internal memory is set at 35 MB, a TransFlash (microSD) slot is provided for expansion.

More information will be available soon from Samsung.
