Samsung SGH-X670 Approved by FCCSamsung's new Samsung SGH-X670, a flip-phone with Bluetooth, has formally been approved by the FCC and should be available soon in the US. Featuring a 128 x 160 pixel 65k color display, integrated FM radio and a camera, although there's no info on the cam's resolution.

Samsung SGH-X670 supports Java MIDP 2.0, so you can play some of the latest games out in the market, but unfortunately it doesn't comply to JSR-184 for mobile 3D games. You also get a web browser that supports HTTP and HTTPS (secure) protocols.

Some of the interesting Bluetooth profiles supported by the SGH-X670 include:

  • BPP-SenderDev for Bluetooth printing
  • DUN-GW for dial-up networking
  • HandsFree-AG (1.0) for Bluetooth headsets
  • Headset-AG, again for headsets
  • OBEX to swap data with other compatible devices

It looks more like an entry level phone targeted at European markets, as it has only 1.5MB of on-board memory. More details will be available on Samsung's website.
