Samsung SGH-D870 Slim Phone
Another Samsung slim-phone, just 13mm thick. This time, it's the SGH-D870, which can also be experienced at CeBIT 2006 in Hannover, Germany. The D870 is better than the D780 in certain aspects, most notably a 3 megapixel camera in place of 2MP on the D780. It's a tri-band GSM phone with EDGE network capability for fast Internet access.
Another distinction on the SGH-D870 is the support for A2DP (stereo audio) and a (surprise, surprise) TV-out port. Which means, you can now enjoy your video clips and other multimedia on a big screen. Should be a lot of fun (for about 10 minutes anyway). It's got Bluetooth and Pictbridge compatibility for PC-free printing.
Built-in memory is stuck at 80MB, but a microSD slot ensures you don't run out of memory for your photos, videos and songs. The usual MP3/AAC/AAC+/e-AAC+ formats are supported, with MPEG4 and H.263 video support.
Additional details are available on Samsung's website. No pricing is available yet, so hang in there till we get the gory details.
