Samsung today unveiled the Samsung SGH-d407 mobile phone at the CTIA Wireless 2006 trade show in LasVegas. The d407 offers consumers walkie-talkie style communication for quick and easy connectivity in an attractive and multi-functional device. The phone boasts of a beautiful black casing and a clamshell design.

The Samsung SGH-d407 is a quad-band "world-phone" and runs on a 3.7V battery. It includes a Push To talk feature, allowing users to connect to one person, or to a group of people, instantly with the touch of a button. It features a 65000 colors (TFT) 128 x 160 px widescreen display. It's got a hideous antenna and comes with a VGA camera with a vedio recorder. But I for the one question the wisdom of not including either FM or MP3 player. Really its inexplicable, as phone makers incorporate the same as basic features these days in most mid-tier models. The connectivity side includes PC sync and bluetooth with which consumers can pair with or exchange data wirelessly between the phone and a Bluetooth-enabled device.
