Samsung SCH-i830 communicator sports EV-DO, thumbboard
Thin and flat phones are not the only new phones coming out from Samsung. They're also providing an update to their popular Windows phone the i730 with the new SCH-i830. The biggest difference between the 730 and the 830 is the inclusion of GSM support.
The phone still supports Bluetooth and comes with a beautiful 2.8 inch QVGA display. One unusual aspect about the new phone is the removal of WiFi support. I've played with the i730 at BestBuy and I must say that I'm THIS close to getting the phone at times. It has a good solid feel to it and the screen and thumbpad are the real winning aspects. If the i830 is as good as the i730 then Samsung should have yet another winner.
The phone should be available sometime before the holiday season (which is pretty darn soon). Since Verizon is currently carrying the i730, it stands to reason that they will also carry the i830. Via Krunker.com
