The new Samsung SCH-B570 has been generating a lot of buzz because of its colossal 8GB HDD at the annual EXPO COMM KOREA 2006. The new phone has 8GB of disc space which means a whole lot of music (up to 2000 songs) which also according to some translates to Goodbye iPod! Though I personally don’t know if this will go head to head with the iPod , but the SCH-B570 will inspire a lot of companies to the path of GB hard drives!

The Samsung SCH-B570 would also include a 2 mega pixel camera , a GPS function and would also feature S-DMB with PIP. Samsung is serious about the music capabilities of the phone and thus has also incorporated 5.1 channel stereo sound. Looks wise it’s not the trendiest or the hippest phone but hey with a 8GB mobile phone you will surely be in vogue no matter how it looks! No word on pricing or availability. At the show a Samsung rep said "This will knock of the iPod for sure!"
