Samsung SCH-a970 comes out for Verizon Wireless
Verizon Wireless and Samsung have introduced a new multimedia laden cell phone called the SCH-a970. This two megapixel clamshell wonder brings Bluetooth, high resolution photography, video recording, and V.CAST into a phone which also swivels around the hinge.
Yes, the a970 supports Bluetooth folks - I know it can be hard finding a Verizon Wireless phone that actually supports Bluetooth but this one does AND it's also cool looking! It also supports certain Bluetooth profiles which allow consumers the ability to multi-task and work on the go.
Other nifty features on the a970 include a 2 megapixel camera phone with 2x optical zoom, auto focus, multi-shot, and brightness adjustments. You get a phone that also has a nice bright 262k color LCD screen - great for when you're using the phone to shoot high quality videos. Where do you put all those videos and photographs? Well you can store them directly onto a TransFlash card which the phone supports.
Let's not forget about the music support either. The a970 has a built in MP3 player which will play back songs stored on that TransFlash card of yours. Finally, rounding out the multimedia feature set is support for Verizon's V CAST service which allows you to view video clips on demand.
If you've been disappointed with Verizon's mobile phone collecton - don't fret anymore - the SCH-a970 looks to be a winner and will surely turn many heads.
