Doing our usual rounds sniffing around the FCC, we found that Samsung's SCH-A870 has been gracefully acknowledged by the FCC. With this approval, the Samsung SCH-A870 looks set for a US release soon through Verizon.

Featuring Verizon's VCAST Music, consumers can browse and download songs over-the-air and play them on the Samsung SCH-A870's media player. A 2-megapixel cam with flash is provided for the usual fun with photos and videos. One of the USPs of this phone is the EV-DO network support for high-speed Internet access.

Bluetooth provision makes it possible to use compatible handsfree kit. A microSD slot is provided to expand on the memory. While pricing info has not yet been released, details may soon be available on Verizon's website.
