Samsung SC-D363 MiniDV Camcorder
If there's any indication from last month's 2006 Consumer Electronics Show, it's that MiniDV camcorders are here to stay. Samsung unveiled its next-gen series of MiniDV camcorders that are really compact and boast a lot of new features, with the introduction of Samsung SC-D363.
Falling under the MiniDV Compact range, the SC-D363 camcorder uses a 680k pixel CCD for video capture in MPEG4 format. It can also double up as your webcam - ideal for video conferencing and other such utilities.
Of course, you can also choose to take digital still images with the Samsung SC-D363 - but only if 800x600 pixel resolution images satisfy you. Optical zoom of 30x and digital zoom up to 1200x is possible with this camcorder. For previewing images/video, it is equipped with a 2.5" 112k pixel color LCD.
The Samsung SC-D363 provides an external memory slot for SD/MMC cards. Connectivity to the desktop is via a USB 2.0 interface. Highly affordable, you can grab one of these for around US $299.00. Details are available from Samsung's website. Check out the extended entry for more features.
