Samsung's SPH-G1000, a cell phone that doubles up as a game console, debuted in Korea. The phone uses a dedicated 3D accelerator chip developed by Samsung to deliver realistic images, and it features a cool mixed graphics capability allowing it to render both 2D and 3D images simultaneously.

Playing games are made more realistic, with "force-feedback" thanks to the vibration generated by the phone. The SPH-G1000 also sports an 8-way multi-key apart from dedicated game keys. Dual speakers offer good quality sound during gameplay.

The display is a 2.2", 262k color TFT-LCD, and the best part is that games can be played in landscape mode. Needless to say, the phone also incorporates a 1.3 megapixel camera. More info is available from Samsung's website. It should be coming to USA and Europe.
