OVERLAND PARK, Kan. & DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sprint (NYSE:S) and Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung) today announced the availability of the thinnest clamshell wireless phone currently available in the United States – the Sprint Power Vision M610 by Samsung. Harnessing the speed of Sprint’s Power VisionSM EVDO network, the M610 by Samsung enables customers to access the latest news, music and entertainment content at broadband-like speeds.

In addition, the M610 by Samsung is the first ultra-slim, compact handset from Sprint to feature a 2.0 megapixel camera. The sleek handset features a large, crisp QVGA internal display, stereo Bluetooth® capable, speakerphone, advanced voice recognition and an external MicroSD™ memory card slot.

Measuring less than a half-inch in depth, the attractive M610 by Samsung provides quick and easy access to Sprint-exclusive content, including:

* Sprint TVSM with more than 50 channels of live television and on-demand video and audio.
* Sprint Music StoreSM, which allows users to browse and wirelessly download full-length songs directly to their phone.
* NFL Mobile, a Sprint-exclusive application that offers same-day video highlights, customizable real-time statistics, scores, injury reports and other information updated every two seconds.

Customers purchasing the M610 by Samsung as a replacement for an existing mobile phone are encouraged to donate their current phone, battery and accessories to Sprint Project Connect. Donated equipment, regardless of make, model or service provider, will be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner or refurbished and resold with proceeds benefiting K-12 education.
