Samsung Electronics unveiled their new Windows Smartphone, the SGH-i718 at the ITU Telecom World 2006 in Hong Kong. Both US and Chinese users will get to experience its goodness first and the FCC recently approved the handset.

The new Samsung SGH-i718 uses Windows as its OS and is a GSM,EDGE handset. It is equipped with a 2.8 inch Touchscreen and measures around 108x58x13.5 mm. Other feature include; 2-megapixel camera with auto focus, MPEG4, H.263, WMV, AAC, AAC+, MP3, WMA, WAV support, Bluetooth v2.0 EDR, Handwritten text and voice recognition. No word on pricing or availability.
