blackjack_official-1.jpgThe lucky folks at Phone Scoop were able to get their hands on the Samsung SGH-i607 aka Samsung Blackjack and they did short preview of it! The handset won brownie points on features like its comfortable grip, its scroll wheel, its great performance, high quality sound and its host of multimedia features. The reviewer lists the navigational keys barring the scroll wheel as problematic and also found the battery life disappointing.

The Samsung Samsung-i607 runs on the Windows Mobile(R) 5.0 Operating System and is a one stop solution to all entertainment and business needs. One major plus point is no doubt, the onboard 3G support , however this quad-band GSM and dual-band UMTS/HSDPA phone lacks wi-fi! On the multimedia front, we come across features like; 1.3-megapixel camera , music playback, video recorder and playback and a microSD slot. There is of-course the now mandatory Bluetooth support and support to Cingular based services like; 3G-enabled BroadbandConnect service and the Cingular Music.

In the end the website writes "The rest of the BlackJack's software is Windows Mobile Smartphone AKU3, just like the Dash. It is priced like the Dash too. The two are similar in most every respect. In fact the biggest difference other than carrier, is whether you get your high speed data over WiFi or over the 3G network."
