Samsung GX-1L Digital SLR Camera
Samsung is determined to be bigger and better in 2006 when it comes to digital cameras. After the Samsung GX 1S, they now make an entry into the exclusive and profitable digital SLR market mostly owned by Nikon and Canon, with the spanking new Samsung GX-1L.
Boasting Schneider optics and a now-standard 2.5" big preview LCD, Samsung brought out the Samsung GX-1L through a partnership with Pentax. With a six-megapixel CCD the GX 1L uses a high-precision 16-segment multi-pattern metering and spot metering, while a 5-point autofocus sensor provides for accurate focusing.
Professionals can choose white balance levels and several available automatic shooting modes for great images. The lens used in GX 1L is a Schneider D-Xenon 18mm-55mm. One of the helpful things is that several Pentax DSLR lens can be used off-the-shelf with this camera.
A USB 2.0 interface is provided, while the Samsung GX-1L runs on 4 AA batteries. Thankfully, RAW images can be stored as well. While no pricing info is available yet, head to Samsung's website for further details. Check extended entry for specs.
