samsung-phone.jpgMobileburn has reviewed the Samsung D810 which follows also the current trend of ‘Slim Handset’ something which was started by Motorola if you remember. The black and chrome combination which the Samsung D810 sports is a winner all the way and this slider phone is just 14.9mm thick mm I mean thin. To make things easier let’s first look at the pro and con list below:

Pros: great ergonomics, bright screen, 1.3 mega pixel CMOS unit and great image quality.

Cons: Multimedia features disappointing, Non expandable memory, non impressive MP3 Player

The Samsung D810 has a 2.1 inch 62K color 2.12" QVGA TFT LCD and features a Yamaha 64-chord polyphonic chip for loud and vibrant ringtones. It has a MP3 Player which can play formats like MP3, MIDI, AAC, AAC+, and WMA files. The 1.3 mega pixel doesn’t not come with a flash, something which should have been included. The D808 is a tri-band phone supporting GSM 900/1800/1900MHz and supports Bluetooth 1.2, and file transfer. Also GPRS class 10 and WAP 2.0 are supported and the T9 types in English, Korean, and traditional and simplified Chinese.

Finally the MobileBurn concludes by saying “Big screen, thin, and smooth these have made the D808 one of the best-looking phones around. Samsung is heading in a good direction, refining what they are the best at doing, and I think this is how a slider should be. Of course, there is no perfect phone in this world: the keypad, camera quality, lack of memory card slot, and price tag are all sacrificed for style.”
