Good old Samsung is back and this time with a bigger bang. The company unveiled its new HSDPA Phone which has full on multimedia capabilities and seeks to be the perfect blend of fun and functionality. The new Samsung SGH-A707 will be available exclusively on the Cingular Network in the US. So looks like the rest of the world may just have to twiddle their thumbs for a while.

So apart from fast data speeds, what else does this clamshell phone has to offer us? The handset lives up to the Samsung tradition when it comes to dimensions as the phone just measures 17.5 mm and is housed in an elegant black/grey casing. there is a 2 megapixel camera and a MP3 Player which supports WMDRM (DRM for WMA)> Apart from MP3 audio, the phone also supports WMA, AAC AND RealAudio. No word on pricing or availability.
