I’m not certain how Rover got all the features in the new Rover PC G5, but this all-purpose device is jam-packed full of it.

Assuming that everything I’ve heard is true, this is first and foremost, a communicator. However, that’s like saying a Swiss Army Knife is just a cutting tool. Yet as a communicator, it has GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz. It is also equipped with Bluetooth, IrDA, as well as Wi-Fi.

This new device is made for drivers, and the GPS-receiver makes it handy for life on the road. While you’re traveling, you might enjoy the MP3 player, FM-radio, multimedia player, 2 megapixel camera, and organizer. All this is powered by Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0, and has good Pocket PC running with Intel Bulverde 520 MHz. As far as memory is concerned, it has 64 MB RAM, 128 MB flash ROM, and even a miniSD slot.

The Rover has a great 2.7 inch screen with 262K color LCD. It should be available now, but it probably isn’t cheap.
