Ricoh R5 Digital Camera
Now we the Ricoh R5 which has a resolution of 7.5 megapixels. So how this camera stand apart from its peers? Well for starters the digicam is equipped with a 7.1x optical wide zoom lens (28–200 mm in 35 mm camera format) which makes it the highest zoom in the compact class.
The Ricoh R5 is a successor to the R4 (doesn’t require a genius to figure that out!) and has the all new Smooth Imaging Engine II image processing engine（SEⅡ).This new processor not only combats image noise but also ensures unrivaled image quality. The camera includes a handy Auto Resize function which is able to automatically change the image size when shooting at 7M size. The R5 is equipped with a 2.5-inch LCD with 230,000 pixels and thanks to its energy saving design can take up to 380 shots on a single charge.
Movies can be captured at the following rates: 640 x 480 @ 15/30fps, 20 x 240 @ 15/30fps160 x 120 @ 15/30fps and can be captured with WAV sound. ISO Settings range from 100 to 1000 and Scene Modes include; Portrait, Sports, Landscape, NightscapeSkew correction, Zoom Macro and so on. The digicam has a memory of 26 MB which can be expanded via SD and MMC cards. No word on pricing or availability.
