
Ricoh introduced their newest high performance digital camera that will surely hit the market with great impact, the Ricoh Caplio RR660 that is able to dig up to 6.16 megapixels on its 1/2.5 inch primary color CCD with supported biggest image resolutions of 2816 x 2112 and 640 x 480 for being the smallest. The sleek and sexy point-and-shoot camera has almost the same features as its extremely popular RR630 predecessor. The new effective 6.16 million square pixels camera is even lighter and more compact compare to its predecessor, and yet is equipped with a crystal-clear 2.4 inch color TFT LCD monitor for easy viewing. It acquire an optical 3x zoom and up to 12x zoom when combined with digital zoom on its 5.5 - 16.5 lens (equivalent to 34 - 102mm for 35mm cameras).
With the six still modes, beginners won't have any problem wowing their friends with stunning digital images. The modes can be set to Auto, Manual, Portrait, Landscape, Sports and even Night Scene. It has shuttle speed of 1 - 1/1000 sec and object distance of 0.4m - infinite for Macro shoot, 0.05m - 0.4m for Wide shoot and approximately 0.35m - 0.4m for Telephoto. If you happened to forgot to buy a SD memory card, you can store your images or videos on the 16MB internal memory first. Transferring photos to a PC couldn’t be simpler with the RR660’s USB connector. It weight approximately 130 grams with the size of 87 x 25.5 x 60mm. Ricoh Caplio RR660 will be available in July at the price of USD235.
