Ricoh Caplio R30 Digital Camera
Ricoh has a new offering in their digital camera line-up - the Ricoh Caplio R30, providing an affordable alternative to the popular Ricoh Caplio R3 which was unveiled November last year. This camera includes a newly developed lens storage system, the Double Retracting Lens System, giving the R30 a thin 26mm body to hold a 5.7x wide zoom lens.
The Ricoh Caplio R30 features a 5.13 megapixel CCD. Coupled with Ricoh's Smooth Imaging Engine, the camera provides for high-speed processing and noise reduction - great for true color and high quality images. The camera also boasts of quick response times - a mere 0.007 seconds from the time the image is focussed (half-press) to the time exposure actually starts.
Of course, you also get a 2.5" preview LCD. The macro mode is pretty neat; you can shoot images of objects at just 1 cm away. With DB60 batteries, you can shoot almost 330 pictures on a single charge.
Priced at £219.99, the Ricoh Caplio R30 is available now. For more info, check out Ricoh's website.
