RCA Lyra X3000 Personal Multimedia RecorderIf you were at the 2006 Consumer Electronics Show, you might've bumped into the folks from Thomson when they showcased their new line-up of digital audio and video products aimed at portable entertainment. One of those devices is the RCA Lyra X3000 Personal Multimedia Recorder.

Lyra X3000 is a portable video/audio enabling high-speed transfer of media from several video sources. This includes compatible DIRECTV digital video recorders for a change.

Thanks to DIRECTV2Go functionality, you will also get the program information along with the content - which means a lot less time spent on navigating the video. The home theater docking base is useful for timed recordings from different sources.

With a 20GB hard drive the RCA X3000 can also house nearly 80 hours of TV shows or movies, as well as play MP3/WMA audio files and JPEG photos. The 3.6" bright TFT LCD is pretty useful when viewing the videos or images.

Priced at US $399, the RCA Lyra X3000 is available now. Check out RCA's website for more details.
