RCA H100, H106 and H116 HDD-based MP3 Players
Apple company got to boost up their creativity on the design and features for iPod soon. They are now getting a lot of hits and competition from every new player that had been produced. RCA has just announced their new hard drive based MP3 players, RCA H100, RCA H106 and RCA H116 that are now available at mass merchant and specialty electronics retailers throughout the US. Three of the MP3 players boasts a chromed trim and negative 1.5 inch LCD displays with each player delivers more than an amazing 130 hours of entertainment.
It has a black outlook with internal 4GB and 6GB of hard disc drives. It has various functions such as music playback, shuffle and sort options are identified with distinct icons and can be browsed using the centrally iPod look jog wheel. Once everything is loaded, music files can be viewed by artist, album, song title, genre or year with full ID3 tag support. It does not stated what music file formats does it supports. H106 and H116 include a FM transmitter for in car use so the consumer's digital music comes directly from the car speaker system.
Three of the MP3 player is compatible with Windows Media Player v11.0, Audible audio books (formats 2,3,4), Plays-for-Sure v1.2 functionality and Media Transfer Protocol (MTP). The players have up to 16 hours of playback time with a battery that is fully recharged from the USB connection to a PC. Each package comes with USB cable, ear bug headphones, 100 free MP3 downloads from eMusic.com, a free trial offer from Yahoo! Music Unlimited and from music management software from Audible.com.
Weighting just under 1.7 ounces, the RCA hard drive players are so small that they can hide behind a business card. The H100 carries a suggested retail price of USD139 while the H106 and H116 have a retail price of USD169.
