Pretek have developed a habit of breaking records when it comes to flash cards. Already holding the record for the highest capacity flash memory cards of USB flash drive (16GB) and SD card (8GB), Pretek has come up with an all new 16GB CF card, the first and highest capacity CF card in the world.

The 16GB CF card boasts of a rugged metal housing with CF Type II form factor and comprises of a reliable SLC NAND flash devices. Pretec is the only company worldwide to offer Secure CF cards, in which the host device BIOS or firmware must be modified in order to fully utilize the security features. It can deliver access speeds up to 80X (12MB/s) for Pretec industrial CF card and up to 133X (20MB/s) for Pretec commercial CF card. Pretec 16GB CF card is all set to hit the shelves in Q4 of this year but no details about the pricing as yet.
